Dancing with Mark in Leavenworth and duck song they were the perfect dancing partners! How proud she was at your marriage and moving you into your first house. Her heart was golden. All our love.

  • Dear Mark and family,

It’s been said that we’re often reflections of our parents.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting your Mom, I’ve had the good fortune to know Mark.

Just from knowing him, I suspect your Mom had a wonderful sense of humor, the ability to turn a bad situation into good and and a deep love for friends and family.

Please know that we join you in your sense of loss. I hope as time passes that your sorrow can be replaced with the joyous memories of having loved her.

  • Zella – I have only met you a few times over the past 20 years – but you have made an impact on my life. In 1991 I met Mark and we have been friends ever since. It is obvious you were a spectacular mother raising Mark and Yvonne to have such great values and respect for others. Over the years, I have learned many things from Mark which really means I have learned from you. You will be missed but it is nice to know a little piece of you will always live on in the lives you have touched.

  • I am truly sorry for your loss. I was on here looking for my Grandfather’s guestbook and saw Paris’. She had been the family hairdresser for years. 5 generations of my family have been to her. In fact I am pretty sure years ago the Herald did an article about it. Started with my Grandma Campbell, then Grandma Farris, then my Mom Martina. Again I have thought of her often including last week when I knew Grandpa was needing a trim. Now they have both flown up to Heaven.

  • We were sorry to hear of Zella’s passing. I remember her as a fun and friendly mother. For so many years, when I was little my family would go over to her house and she would cut our hair in the kitchen area. She cut it perfect every time. I shared so many memories with her camping and motorbike riding. She will be missed by so many people while she is sitting close to God. Blessings and prayers to all the family.

  • There are two children in Kansas who will miss their Grandma horribly! They know how much Grandma enjoyed that title and wore it proudly from the second these two babies were born! Ryan and Rachel love you very much Grandma Paris! They will miss you more than words can say and cherish the wonderful memories they will keep in their hearts forever! You were a very special lady with a kind and giving heart, an infectious laugh and way of making people feel special. Plus you taught me how to make the best mashed potatoes ever!!! Heaven is one star brighter today, but on earth you will be missed terribly. Love you, MIchele

  • Zella was a classy lady. I knew her years ago when my children were small. She cut my hair, but even more, she was a friend and prayer partner. She was always upbeat, full of joy. Her positive attitude and great compassion must have earned her many friends. I was blessed to know her.
