Paula Norton Henry, 51, passed away in her sleep September 13, 2011. She was born July 27, 1960, in Richland, WA to Bill and Betty Norton. She is survived by mother Betty, sisters Kay Chip Hass and Kathy Norton; brother Steve Norton Denise Ciarlo; daughter Jessica Nathan Edgar, grandsons Adrian and Jamie, and daughter Melissa Lonnie Black, granddaughter Madison; along with nieces and their children Reanna Norwood Jacob, Justice, Jada, Derrick, Beth and John Mata Gavin, Devin, and Crystal Williamson Robbie, and her beloved dog Savanna. Her father Bill passed away July 21, 2010.
Paula graduated from Richland High School in June 1978. She has always had a love for arts and crafts. She enjoyed making new clothes for her grandkids, and spent a lot of time making her home her dream. She enjoyed working in the yard, and always made sure that she had pretty flowers for all to see, and for 4-yr-old Madison to keep watered for her. She also loved camping with her family near Chinook Pass.
Paula worked many years at Battelle and immensely enjoyed the time and friendships with her groundwater monitoring team.
Paula always had a great sense of humor. Anytime anyone would be down, she was always there to cheer them up. She could make a joke out of anything! Her funeral will be held at Einan's Funeral Home, Richland By-pass, 1 pm Saturday, September 24, 2011.
Betty, please know that you’re in my prayers for comfort during this difficult time. Some day you will be able to look back at all the great times you shared with your daughter; those times will bring a big smile to your face. God be with you friend.
Betty, I’m so sorry to hear of Paula’s passing. I remember her when we lived across the street. Paula was always so much fun and always happy. I will always remember her and she will always be in my heart
My condolences to the “Norton family.” I’m very shocked to say the least, of hearing this most unsettling news! Paula and I were just starting to get in touch on Facebook! I really didn’t think I had a limited time! Unfortunately, we all seem to make that mistake! My heart goes out to her 2 beautiful daughters whom I’ve seen photos of and her grand-kids! This unexpected event, must be one of the most disheartening,& difficult losses for them to have to endure! I hope you all know that those, lucky enough to befriend Paula, feel very Blessed! May God give you comfort & mercy in the following days, with reassurance that you will reunite one day!
Reading through the well wishes it’s evident that Paula brought laughs and smiles to so many people. She was the same at work during our years together at Battelle. So many fond memories. So many laughs.
As southenders, my brother Eric and sister Deanna would pick up Paula every morning walking to school. We became best friends in kindergarten and remained good friends all her life. Paula had one of the best senses of humor ever and was always up to a good practical joke. I will surely miss her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. With fond memories. The Lukins family

Everyday truly is a gift and Paula was a gift to all who knew her. Love and prayers to her entire family. May God bless you and comfort now and always.
Betty,
You have had your share of family joys because you have a great family, but losing Paula is almost too much for you to have to suffer.
I am praying that you will be comforted by our Heavenly Father so that you are able somehow to carry on with your life.
Paula, I’m so glad I got to meet you in Montana you when you would drive over to visit Jesse, Adrian & Jamie. Also glad I got to see you again when I visited Jesse a couple summers ago in Washington. I’m going to miss you, but I will never forget you!
Growing up across Craighill park has great childhood memories. Paula was a big part of that. We all played and had a great time,Paula was always hanging out with her girlfriend. I went to grade school, junior high and high school with Paula. She was always a sweet and kind person. A true South Ender. My thoughts and prayers go to her and her family.
