Pero Kapetanovic blessed Heaven with his presence on October 3rd, 2011 while surrounded by family at the age of 87. Pero was born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina on February 18th, 1924.

At the age of 24 Pero met the love of his life Vjera, with whom he had spent his life with for the past 63 years. While living in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pero worked and retired as a successful sales associate. Pero and Vjera raised their two daughters Dragana and Snjezana, one of his greatest accomplishments, then made the move to Richland, WA in 1998. He became a US citizen seven years ago and has lived here for the past 14 years. Pero was an avid walker and a regular attendee of Christ the King Church. While being a man of few words, Pero was a strong family man and always put his family first. Pero was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle to all those who knew and loved him.

Pero was survived by his wife Vjera Kapetanovic, daughters Dragana Petrovic and Snjezana Lukic, son-in-laws Vladimir Petrovic and Simo Lukic, his grandchildren Ivica & Marijana Lukic, Vesna Petrovic-Simic, Sanja Petrovic, granddaughter- in- law Alicia Lukic, great-grandchildren Adrian and Emma Lukic, and nieces Biljana Baric and her husband Franjo, Mirjana Imamovic and her husband Enver.

A funeral service will be held at Einan's Funeral Home on Saturday, October 8th at 11am with public viewing starting at 10 a.m. A reception will be held following the service at Luther Senior Center, 625 Berkshire Place in Richland.
