Sierra Rose Murray
Sierra Rose Murray, 16, of Richland, passed away on October 28, 2011 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 1, 1995 at Kadlec.
Sierra was a beautiful human being. She was involved in her church where she coached basketball for summer youth. She loved the Lord deeply and was a faithful servant of Him. Sierra attended Temple Baptist Church of Richland. She was kind and gentle natured, she always maintained a positive outlook on life and her sense of integrity was impressive in a young person. Sierra had many friends that she enjoyed spending time with. She loved her family and was the brightest light to all who knew her. She attended schools at Lewis and Clark Elementary, Carmichael Middle School and Richland High School. She was just learning to play the piano, and practiced with determination, the same way she approached everything in life. She was looking forward to college, where she planned to study Developmental Psychology. Her goal and inspiration was to help children.
Sierra also sang with the school choir which she LOVED, but gave it up to be a peer mentor to others.
She is survived by her mother, Roxanne Murray; father, Terry Murray; sister, Sonya Reed; grandparents, Rosalie Fischer, Gerald & Kris Murray; uncles, Mark & Paul Wallsinger, Tim, Tom, Jason Murray and aunt, Kelli Merrit.
Sierra is preceded in death by her grandfather, Howard Wallsinger and grandmother, Dorothy Murray. She will always be missed beyond measure and loved always.
Visitation will be held at Einan's Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 4:00pm at Central United Protestant Church in Richland.
We did not have the pleasure of meeting Sierra, but our hearts go out to her family and pray for strength to guide you through. May she rest in peace.
Our hearts go out to you for your loss. We rode with Sierra on the kid’s bus to Temple Baptist Church. She was always cheerful. I remember how much she loves children. May you find comfort in celebrating her life on her up-coming birthday. Our prayers are with you and your family and friends.
I had the pleasure of working with Sierra as her English teacher this year. She was truly a good person, one whose positive attitude radiated throughout the class and hallways. She will be missed dearly by us, as she leaves much more than an empty seat in our lives.
We send our deepest condolences to her family. We hope you find peace and comfort in knowing that the Bomber family sends you our thoughts and prayers.
