Robert Gene Isakson

Robert Gene Isakson DOB: 11/21/1940

Age: 71 years old lived in Richland Washington for 65 years. Passed away November 30th 2011 at Kadlec Medical Center from complications resulting from a stroke. Born in Columbus, Montana where he lived until his family moved to the the Tri-Cities in his early childhood.

Robert retired from Energy Northwest as a Mechanical Engineer. Robert served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War.

Robert was member of the Richland Lutheran Church. He was also a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the National Rifle Association.

He was proceeded in Death by his parents Clifford and Violet Isakson, also by his wife of 42 years Jill Isakson.

Robert is survived by his current wife Antonia Isakson, his son Kirk Isakson and wife Julie, and grandson Evan of Kennewick.

Also by his son Kent Isakson and grandson's Nicholas and Kyle of Kennewick. Also by his older brother Richard Isakson and wife Patsy of Deer Park, and numerous nieces and nephew's. Also by his younger sister Diane Isakson of Richland.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time at his son's cabin. He also enjoyed his animals.

Robert loved his son's and grandson's and enjoyed collecting coins with his grandson's. One of his life's proudest moments was when his grandsons were born.

Visitation will be at Einan's Funeral Home on Thursday December 8th 2011 family only visitation will be between 4 and 5 pm and friends are invited between 5 and 8 pm.

  • I worked with Ike, like a lot of other folks, at Energy Northwest. Ike was a really good guy – no other way to say it. He was always easy to talk to, knew what needed to be done, and when he said he’d take care of something, it was a done deal. I’ll miss him.

    We didn’t know Bob but knew his mom and Diane while we were at RLC.

    I grew up knowing the “other Vi” and Percy family…Barbara and David. Southside neighbors for many years.
