Arlene Elizabeth Lilly
Arlene Lilly went home to Jesus February 4, 2012. She passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, following a short battle with cancer. She was 64. Born Arlene Elizabeth Harden at Kadlec Hospital on December 18, 1947 to Virgil and Louise Harden, she lived her entire life in the Tri-Cities. She graduated from Columbia High School in Richland and attended Northwest College in Kirkland, Washington. While at Northwest she sang, toured, and produced an album as part of a trio. She married Terry Lilly at Richland Assembly of God July 30, 1971. She was always happy to share her famously delicious food at any potluck, holiday, gathering, or church event. She was an amazing cake decorator and was frequently asked to make wedding and birthday cakes. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidery, watching family movies, reading, listening to Southern Gospel music, and anything involving her grandchildren. She worked for many years as a secretary in the Kennewick School District, retiring in 2010 as the Director of the Community Education Program. Arlene said her greatest joy in life was watching both her sons commit their lives to Christ. For the past 21 years she was a member at Faith Assembly church in Pasco. In her retirement she became a mentor-mom for her church's MOPS group and was committed to attending meetings and making food or gifts for the other group members even throughout her illness.
Arlene is survived by her husband; son Sean Lilly and his wife Wendy; son Darrin Lilly and his wife Kelli; grandchildren Paige, Isaiah, and Zoe Lilly; brothers Steve Harden, Darrell Harden, and David Harden; sister Debbie Jones; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant son Terry Charles Lilly Jr.

God bless you Arlene
I am sorry to hear of Arlenes passing.Arlene and I grew up together, went to school,Sunday school and Northwest college together. She was there for me when my daughter passed and I’m sure they are enjoying each other in Heaven. I will miss Arlene just as I miss Julie. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
So sad to hear of Arlene’s passing but I know she is resting peacefully in the Lord’s embrace; no more pain or suffering. Arlene use to take me to Sunday School when I was little and later, she honored us by baking our wedding cake. She was a true Woman of Faith. I am sure my Mom Zella was among one of the first to welcome her to Heaven. Just imagine the reunion Arlene is having with all of those who have gone before her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
Darrin, Kelli and Family…Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time on the loss of Darrin’s Mom.
Although we did not know her we know that God has taken her into his arms and taking good care of her.
Although no words of sympathy can ease the loss you bear, We express our Deepest Sympathy to you and your family.

So sorry to hear about Arlene. I had the pleasure of knowing her through the Kennewick Community Education. She was smart and efficient. I very much enjoyed her warm smile, and her incredibly helpful and kind ways. My condolences to her family. She will be missed.
I am missing my friend… We had a special bond during this last journey.. I’m glad to know she is out of suffering and free from pain. Now, I pray for Terry and the family, that God will be your strength for the days ahead..
Arlene was one of the most kind, generous and intelligent people I have ever met. The world is a poorer place now that she is gone. Thank you Arlene.
Darrin, Kelli & family. Our sincere prayers and thoughts are with you and your family on the passing of your Mom. It sounds like Mom would be a fan of my Keith favourites The Cathedrals Legacy Five Greater Vision Booth Brothers& many more Southern Gospel Groups. Blessings,
Unfortunately, I never got the chance to know Arlene well, but did have the opportunity to eat one of her famous meals last year. She was a wonderful cook and hostess. I wish we had lived closer to one another. God’s blessings to all the family left behind.
Having known Arlene for over 50 years I have many fond memories of her. She was a special lady and I’ll miss sharing ‘grandma’ stories and pictures with her. May you all feel God’s peace, strength, and guidance during this time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Been many years since high school but we remember who you were
Arlene was our wedding coordinator when the original coordinator had scheduling conflcts. She made it the most beautiful wedding ever.
We will miss you dearly. God bless
Arlene Lilly
God saw she was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around her
and whispered,”Come with me.”
With tear-filled eyes we watched her suffer and fade away.
Although we loved her deeply,
we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best.
My prayers are with Arlene’s family and friends. Arlene was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all.

Arlene’s many talents on earth will be remembered by all lives she touched. Her faith in God has assured her of peace everafter.
Dear Terry and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I could say how special Arlene was, but you already know that far more deeply than I. She blessed me every time I saw her or spoke with her. Although our worlds drifted apart over the last few years, my family will always cherish her memory. Her smile and laughter, her affection and love for our children will accompany them for as long as they live. The Herrings love Grandma Arlene!
We will pray for you, Terry and family, as God brings Arlene and you all to mind. The loss is devastating, but the memories are precious.
God’s peace,
Sharron
