Lucille “Lucy” M. Schmitz
Lucille M. "Lucy" Schmitz was born in Spokane, Washington to Elmer and Esther Moff on November 1, 1926, and went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2012. She was a resident of Clarkston, Washington prior to coming to the Tri-Cities ten years ago. She was employed by the Department of Social & Health Services for the State of Washington both in Wenatchee and then Clarkston before retiring.
Lucy loved traveling, painting, sewing and crafts. She was very creative. She enjoyed music, animals, and working in her flower garden. She was actively involved in the Lewiston-Clarkston Doll Club. She was a quiet, gentle, and kind-hearted lady who was always thinking of others and helping those in need.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Linda Bohnsack Howard of Pasco, Step-daughters Linda Gaines David of Kettle Falls, Washington, Patricia Carpenter Clyde of Castle Rock, Washington, and Lori Schmitz of Tacoma, as well as eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by both parents, two brothers, Manning and Raymond; her first husband, Louis J. Khune, Sr. and second husband, Lawrence Schmitz; her son, Louis J. Kuhne, Jr., daughter, Julie Ann Smith; and grandson, Jeff Taylor.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 3:30pm followed by a memorial service at Einan's Funeral Home on Saturday at 4:00pm.
It was a pleasure working with Lucy at DSHS.She was a kind gentle
person.
Ill miss you so much grandma… Heaven got an amazing angel… I love you so much… You will always be in my heart, the memories I have with you, ill always cherish… You are with grandpa again, you always talked bout seein him… Now you never have to be seperated again… I miss you so so much, please take care of my angels for me… And make sure you give grandma b and them a hug for me… I thank God for heaven, cause I know ill be with you again one day, and all your pain is gone… Life isnt the same without you… I love you grandma mitz and ill see you one sweet day… All my love your granddaughter tiff…<3

Our condolences to the family. Mom Lucille was a wonderful lady. Was surprised there was no mention of Julie, also her daughter with my father Lawrence Schmitz
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lucy. I worked in the same DSHS office as Lucy. She was a very sweet lady. I was sorry to read about Julie also.
I am very sorry to hear about Lucy and Julie. I worked with Lucy at DSHS in Clarkston. She always cared about the people we served and gave all to the job. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. God Bless.
I wa sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. I worked with Lucy at DSHS. Lucy always gave 110%to her job and friends. She had a good sence of humor and was always pleasant to work with.
