Catherine Jane Krause
Cathy passed peacefully away on June 25th, 2012 in Kennewick. Cathy was born in Kennewick to Dale and Rosemary Coffey on May 12th, 1955 and was a lifelong Tri-Citian. Cathy attended Kennewick High School and graduated in 1973. After working various jobs she began working at the law offices of Critchlow, Williams & Schuster were she stayed as a paralegal for over 20 years until the practice closed with the passing of her late husband.
Cathy became a mother in 1981 and again in 1986. Even working full time and being a mother couldn't slow her down, in the 80's she became the 1st female driver at Tri-City Raceway. Cathy was a fun loving, adventure seeking person that remained a kid at heart - Scooby Doo, Goofy and Reese Peanut Butter cups were never far away.
Cathy loved to go on adventures – random road trips, finding greasy-spoon restaurants, picking through antique stores for a unique cookbook or the next great treasure. Cathy was always longing to do, see and learn more.
Cathy will be missed by all who loved her.
Cathy was looked to as a mother for many of her daughter's friends, always there for advice and an unbiased opinion. Cathy is survived by her family: Heather & Shawn and Laura & Tim, and will be greeted in heaven by her late husband Gene.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2nd, 2012 at 1pm at Einan's Funeral Home, Richland.
