John Roberts passed away at the age of 73 on June 12, 2012 in his home in Benton City. He was born on March 26, 1939 in Ketchikan, Alaska to parents John and Helen Roberts. John served with the U.S. Army. He married Rita J. Tenhet and raised 6 children. He was a mechanic in the Nuclear Industry, retiring in 2001, and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. One of his favorite past times was fishing. John is survived by his wife, Rita Roberts, and his children, Nathan Roberts, Erik Roberts, Anna Roberts, Sandra Appel, Richard Wolverton, and Stacy Strandberg. There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens off the By-Pass Highway in Richland. Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Einan's Funeral Home.
