She was preceded in death by her son Ricky Guy Kranz, mother and father Getty Marie Miller and Ernest Leslie Smith, first husband of 32 years Jerry S.B. Kranz, brothers Zoyd, Bert, Don and George Snuffy Smith, and sister and husband George and Freda Neill.

Her two PASSIONS in life were family and watching baseball. The Mariners were IT as far as she was concerned, she loved to watch them play and she called the players by their names and as she cheered them on. She loved watching her sons and grandchildren play baseball, football, soccer and even was able to watch her great grandchildren play. She also loved having a garden and flowers around her and took PRIDE in taking care of her home.
She made it to all family birthday parties, barbeques, and dinners. At our dinners she always said the prayer and cried every time – she had the biggest heart in the world! She dearly loved her family and that went before everything in her life.

She loved the Lord Jesus and always prayed for her family and friends. Mom had many friends and loved them all! She loved her country and was a proud American! The men in her family were ironworkers and helped build the Dams and bridge on the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

She is no longer in pain; in God's hands and with Ricky, her parents, brothers and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her!

It was her wish not to have any services so in lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Tri-City Cancer Foundation either by check or on-line.

  • She was a great friend and neighbor. We did not have much time together, but what we did was always fun. Hal was such a help for her to have around and take care of the yard. Will miss her a lot!!!!!!

  • It was a priviledge for me to get to know, and come to love, Barbara this past year. She reminded me so much of my dear Mom-in-law; petite but strong in character, great housekeeper, loved plants and flowers. She was very kind to me, allowing me to visit and share communion with her. She loved her Lord, and I will miss our times together very much.
