  • Leona will always hold a special place in my heart. She was one of the most courageous, generous, and loving people I have known. I cherish the many hugs she freely gave, and I remember how her face would light up each time her precious grandchildren would visit her at work. She loved to share stories about them and we all loved to hear them. I’m still in awe of her strength and courage as I remember watching her blaze through days when any other person would have stayed home in bed. I feel blessed to have known Leona, and although I hadn’t seen her lately, I will miss her. My thoughts are with her loved ones during this difficult time.
