Rebecca Ann Apley
Walt and Gail Apley welcomed the little red headed girl, Rebecca Becky Ann Apley, into their lives on October 31, 1984 in Pasco, Washington and their lives changed forever. Becky passed away peacefully, at the young age of 27, on September 14, 2012 surrounded by family and friends.
Her short, but fruitful life was spent sharing her joy with others during her years at Christ the King School, Tri-Cities Prep and Richland High School. She furthered her education at Whittier College, and was presently pursuing a nursing degree at WSU Tri-Cities. Her life goal was to put her nursing skills to good use in the Peace Corps.
Becky had great joy and enthusiasm for life and showered her family and friends with love and touched everyone she met in her special "Becky fashion"!
Becky will be greatly missed by her mom, Gail; sister Snejana; grandmother Kay; grandfather Desmond; aunt Betsy Manuele; cousins Anne and family, Hayley, Sofia, Danny; second family, Julie, Bob, Tim, Andy and Caitlin and best friend Cari. Becky's four legged family, Lola and Britney will miss her loving company.
She is now experiencing the love of the family that has gone before her; father Walt; grandmother Irma, grandfather Walt Sr.; aunts Maureen and Susie.
The rosary will be said for Becky on Thursday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m, at Einan's Funeral Home. A mass celebrating Becky's wonderful life will be on Saturday, September 29th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Stevens Drive Richland, WA 99354
In lieu of flowers, because of Becky's goal of becoming a nurse and the ICU's compassionate care, donations may be made to Kadlec Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit ICU in memory of Becky. Kadlec Foundation 888 Swift Blvd Richland, WA 99352 509 942-2026.
Dear Gail and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Becky’s passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Marilyn
Gail, I am so sorry for your loss! Words cannot say how stunned and sorry I am to know that Becky has passed away. I have been praying for the repose of her soul and of course for you especially. Sincerely,
Becky you are so beautiful. Your golden red hair and your bubbly personality and the twinke in your eyes. It’s hard to believe you are gone from us.
I remember the first time I saw you … you instantly became a part of our family. you brought a lot of love and laughter to our home.
I wish I could have seen you one more time. You are what love looks like.
Have fun with your dad, he is so happy to be with you again.. I love the picture of you and him when you were very young standing on a concrete wall as he held your hand… you both sticking out your tongues at the camera… a perfect visual of the playful bond you have with him.
I want to write so much more about you. You are very missed here, Becky. We love you!
Rebecca was my best friend and I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. I am so sorry for your loss. She was too young, there should have been more time. I am so sorry.
Gail and Snejana,
In my book of Christmas memories, I still have the cherished picture from 1985 where this tottering little redhead was standing between two beaming parents…
May the past blessings help you navigate the eternal mysteries of life and death. May Becky rest in peace. Amen
My favorite times with Becky were when we would pick out a story and read it together at bedtime on the nights when I babysat. She was also a proud and enthusiastic participant in a RHS ASB project where we painted her little feet and she made footprints across a sheet of butcher paper! Many fond memories of a beautiful girl …
