Mark D. Busser

Mark D. Busser, age 69, of West Richland, Washington, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Hospice, The Chaplaincy following a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 22, 1943 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Allen W. and Minerva Donmoyer Busser. Mark was the husband of Ann R. Richardson Busser; they shared 33 wonderful years together and would have celebrated their 17th anniversary on January 19, 2013.

Mark worked as an ironworker and painter prior to moving to the West Coast in 1978. In 2009, he retired from Abadan after 15 years working as a Commercial Equipment Set-up and Delivery Technician. Mark will be greatly missed by many who were blessed by his great sense of humor, thoughtfulness and caring nature. He loved spending time in his garden, enjoyed "playing" golf and vacationing in West Port where he enjoyed crabbing and fishing for salmon. He always had his next meal planned, and regularly made and delivered lunch for his fellow co-workers at Abadan.

He will be lovingly missed by his daughter, Teresa L. Rineer, wife of Craig R. Rineer, of Washington Boro, PA; step-daughter Stephany Roberts, wife of Ben Roberts; step-son Samson Kelly, all of Spokane, WA; and four grandsons, Isaac, Collin, Corey and Ryan. Mark is survived by two sisters and three brothers; many brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.

A memorial remembrance service will be held on Monday, December 10th at 10 a.m. from the Einan's Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway, Richland with his son-in-law Ben officiating.

  • Ann,

I’ve been so remiss in contacting you, over the years, since we parted upon my retirement and it saddens me now to be contacting you during this difficult time.

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

I’ll always remember when Mike would come into our work area and he would stop by to say hello. He was always so jovial and in good spirits.

He will be sorely missed by you and all those family members whom loved him so much.

God Bless you and our prayers are with you and your family

Adopt-A-Family. You were always smiling and we laughed and joked around. I remember Mark as our copier tech. in suite A.

My Friendship and Prayers go out to you and yours.

  • My fondest memory of Mike was when I came to visit you and had the little girls with me. He was down on his hands and knees playing with them so we could talk. He loved the little ones and always thought of others. I will miss him.

We are here for you whenever you need us!

  • So sorry to hear about your loss. Death is so hard to take especially when sickness such as Cancer take your love one away, God knows how you feel and will do something about it soon for Isaiah 33:24 says: “No resident will say I am sick”, so please find comfort in this fact.
