VERA LUTZ-GRAY 1924-2012 Vera Lutz-Gray, 88, passed away at home on Sunday, December 16, 2012, with her husband Dan Gray by her side. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan. Vera was widowed from her first husband, George Lutz, after 43 years of marriage. They raised three children. After being widowed she met and married Daniel Gray of Richland, Washington. They were married nearly 24 years before her passing. Vera had many passions. She was a devout Christian and was very active at Bethel Church until her health failed. She loved gardening and met the challenge of transforming Dan's unremarkable back yard into a vision of beauty with unwavering gusto and enthusiasm. She began oil painting after her children were grown and created many beautiful pictures. Vera was very proud of her family and loved them dearly. Vera is survived by her children Barbara Larry Walworth, Ron Shirley Lutz, and Brian Jeri Lutz; stepdaughters Katy Mike Storm and Chris Gray, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her "adopted" family Jim, Mona and Garner Alzheimer. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and many dear friends. The family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation to the caring people at Hospice for their help and support during this difficult time. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Church in the Desert View Room. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice.
