Don,
I am so sorry to hear about Marlis. It was such fun to visit with the both of you each year. I will miss her very much. I’m keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.
I will always remember Marlis for her sense of humor and kindness. She had a Beta fish in her office that she enjoyed feeding and watching him swim around and she even always worried about him, like he was one of her dogs thats she loved so much. When he died she was really sad, thats how she was she cared about everything. I will miss her.
Most of my memories of Marlis come from stories told by my sister, Robin who loved Marlis dearly and with whom she was friends since childhood. Marlis will be greatly missed.
Mom,
I miss you dearly and will miss you every day. Reading the wonderful posts about you from all of the people whose lives you touched in a meaningful way makes me even more proud to say I was your son. You inspire me, as always, to be a better person.
Love Always,
Darin aka, your favorite son

Grief is the healing mechanism God uses, particularly when we allow HIM to enter into the process.
