Sharon Kae Wolf

Sharon Wolf passed away on January 12, 2013. She was 67 years old. She was born in the town of Kennewick Washington on October 19th, 1945 to the late Mildred Porter and Russell Felch. Sharon started her family in the Yakima area, and was a homemaker for several years as a young adult. Once her two children were grown, she started work in banking and then for the State of Washington, where she retired. Before retiring, Sharon moved back to the Tri-Cities area. Aside from work, Sharon was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was nicknamed Mema, and Grandma Sharjon by her five grandchildren, and took pride in those names. Other than spending time with her family, she enjoyed shopping, exercising, cooking, watching movies, and celebrating holidays, especially Christmas. Sharon enjoyed singing Christmas songs, even in summer months. Her Christmas spirit was instilled in her children and grandchildren. She also loved her pets very much, and took great joy in caring for them. She was survived by her significant other Kent Grimsley, two children Theodore Wolf and Carolyn McMurry, twin sister Shirley Owens, her brothers Dwain Felch Flo, Darrell Felch Skip, Ron Felch Pam, her sister Darlene Felch, her granddaughters Catie Smith Marshal, Kalli Wolf, McKayla Wood, grandsons Chase Crouch, Keegan Wolf, great-granddaughter Morgan Smith, and many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Bob Porter, brother, Dennis Felch, and great-grandson Brody Smith. A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, January 19th at Einan's Funeral Home, in Richland, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation PFF. http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org/donate

  • Sharon was a wonderful, caring lady. Our grandson Robbie loved her like his other grandmothers. We/he appreciated how she would go to his basketball, soccer, and t-ball games with his Papa Kent. She will be missed very much.

  • Remembering Sharon with a smile as all the good memories surface and remind me of the many fun times we enjoyed together.

Sharon had a really great sense of humor which sometimes got us into trouble : We couldn’t stop laughing once we started!

I remember trying to teach her to drive in Perry’s car ending up with a flat fender…which we parked so it wouldn’t show and thought that would take care of it! Since the damage was on the passenger side, it worked for about a day.

There were fits of laughter during all our card games, dinners and dances shared together … it was a season of joy that didn’t last long enough.

Teddy and Carolyn are two of her greatest gifts to our family. She loved them unconditionally along with their families. She leaves all of them and others with precious memories to treasure.

I am praying for Jesus to live in their hearts and comfort them in this difficult time now and in the months ahead.

  • I’m writing on behalf of the noon water aerobics class at the Tri-City Court Club. Sharon splashed along with the rest of us, and we enjoyed her smile and camaraderie. We knew each other on a first-name basis only, but were friends, I hope, nonetheless. At the end of a class this week, we stopped to remember Sharon. We’ll miss her, and we extend our condolences to her family.

  • Ted & Carolyn, I know first hand how much your mom cared for each of you. She loved and protected you as only a mother can understand. I was shocked to hear of her death. We were in AZ at the time and only recently returned. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

  • I met Sharon many years ago at Tri-City Court Club. We hit it off the first time we met. These last few years we would meet up for a Starbuck’s coffee and talk. She was always talking about her grand kids and how much she liked being with them. She was a very caring person and I will miss her a lot.

  • Having met Sharon only a few times, I knew she was special, kind hearted, full of life, and was always happy being with Kent.

She was truly special and left us too early. My condolences to Ted, Carolyn and Papa Kent.

  • I will always remember the times we shared together when our kids were young. Wish we could have spent more time later in life.
