Emily Wilhelmina Maurer

Emily was born on Christmas Day 1931 to Ella and Victor Luttereroty. She passed away on May 31, 2013. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mom was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She met the love of her life, Dale S. Maurer, Sr., in 1953 and they were together for forty-seven years until his passing in 2001. They moved from Oakford, PA to Richland, WA for Dale's job and they never left. Emily was an executive housewife and raised five "wonderful and perfect" children. Her family was her life. She was "mom Maurer" to many. Our friends would seek her out for safety, for advice, and for a cup of coffee. She never knew a stranger and her door was always open. There was always enough dinner for "one more". She was an amazing and loving woman.

She was preceded in death by her one and only true love Dale S. Maurer, Sr and her son Dale.

Emily is survived by her children Debra Kietzman Dave, Victoria Phare, Cynthia Bishop Bob, and Kenneth Maurer DeDe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Vicki, Dale III, Kristi, Jessica, Megan, Brooke, Taylor, Emily, Colt, Dylan and Raney and her great-grandchildren, Frankie, Issac, Abigail, Christopher, Noah, Ava, Kennady, Dane, Samuel, Kyron, Katie and Gus.

God bless our angel, she will be truly missed. Our family wants to thank the family at Quail Hollow for being a part of our family and taking amazing care of our mom. We would also like to thank Lower Valley Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at The Living Room Community Church, 1409 South Garfield in Kennewick, WA at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 9th.
