Harry ‘Ken” Kenneth Tucker
Harry Kenneth Tucker On Tuesday May 28 Harry Kenneth "Ken" Tucker went to heaven to be with our Lord. Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken, as most people knew him, was a kind and gentle soul who was always available to help others and whose kindness would brighten the day of anyone who crossed his path.
Harry Kenneth Tucker was born in Fairfield Missouri on May 31, 1923 to Ethel and Harry Tucker. He graduated from Warsaw High School in May of 1941. He enlisted in the Army during WWll at age 20 and battled in the Pacific Theater. Ken was a Sergeant receiving many accommodations including two bronze stars.
Harry Kenneth Tucker married Ina Maxine Curtis on November 18th 1950 and moved to Richland to work for General Electric during that same year. Ken and Ina had one son, Kevin. The love within their family was wonderful and unending.
Along with General Electric Company Ken worked for Rockwell International, Atlantic Richfield Company, and Westinghouse. He spent his entire 35 year career working at the Hanford site. He retired in 1985 at the age of 62.
During retirement Ken and Ina loved to winter in Arizona with many close friends, as well as garden, and fish the Columbia River for salmon and steelhead.
Harry Kenneth Tucker is survived by his wife Ina of 63 years, his son Kevin, daughter-in-law Kathy, grand-daughter Casey and grand-son Kyle. Ken was preceded in death by his two sisters Helen and Faye.
Harry Kenneth Tucker was a great husband, a great father, and a great grandfather! He truly was from the Greatest Generation.
