Donna Jean Morgan

Donna J. Morgan, 86, of Kennewick, passed away on July 5, 2013 at Legacy Home. She was born and raised in Grangeville, ID. Donna worked for the phone company until 1961.

The family moved to Omak, WA in 1962 where they owned a ranch. In 1971 they moved to Mattawa, WA where they operated a hay farm. Mom worked for Grant County PUD as a tour guide until she retired.

Donna enjoyed her family and friends, she loved to race stock cars as a young adult, a driving trait which she carried on into her 80's and she loved to bowl.

Donna was a gracious and loving mother, wife, and friend to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed, but always remembered.

She was survived by her two sons, Frank and Sally Morgan of Deseret Aire; Michael and Colleen Morgan of Kennewick; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Morgan in 2001; two sisters, Goldie Basinger 1940; Pearl Darscherd 1997 and her brother, Charles Tefft 1993.

A graveside service will be held today, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.

  • Donna was one of the world’s good people. Shortly after arriving at the PUD, I fell upon some very depressing times. Donna was a receptionist at Wanapum at the time. She wouldn’t let me get far past the front door without a smile and friendly greeting that made me feel better.

  • Donna will be greatly missed by myself and all of her co-workers @ the pud, she always greeted everyone that she worked with and gave tours of the dam to, with a great smile and she enjoyed her job very much. Our prayers are with Donna and her family, may god be with all of you.

    We are so sorry to have missed you mothers services. We have do many fond memories of your dad and mom. We loved going to the basket ball games in royal with them and Dudley loved to talk farming with Bud. Your mother alway looked like a model of a gracious lady. We think of you boys often and are so happy to have good memories of the all the Morgan family!
