Dore Earle Tyler Jr.
Dore E. Tyler Jr. passed away on July 3, 2013 at his home in Richland, WA. He was born February 14, 1936 in Lowell, MA. He moved to Richland in 1944. Later he moved to the Seattle area and came back to the Tri Cities in 2006 to retire.
He was in the 87th infantry Regiment and served in Aschaffenburg, Germany for two years.
He held various jobs but his proudest career was obtaining a masters license and piloting a tugboat in the Puget Sound.
He owned a sailboat and spent much of his time sailing in Puget Sound both alone and with his family and friends.
Dore is survived by his sisters, Janet Tyler of Pasco and Miriam Lane of White Salmon; nephews Rick Ingham of Seattle and Bill Bonner of Mount Vernon; nieces Lori Bartosh of Everett and Alicia Boyd of Richland; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dore and Alice. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be no formal services. A private family service will be held at a later date.
