Pat Allen Travis
Pat Travis, passed away at the said age of 29, on Tuesday July 09, 2013. He was born to Cecil and Clara Travis on December 24, 1933 in Wenatchee, WA. Moved to Pasco in 1942. Then moved to Benton City where he graduated from Kiona High in 1953. He then joined the Navy in the fall of 1953 and was a part of the CB's. In 1955, he met Anita Buono in San Diego, CA where he was stationed and married Anita his bride on May 26, 1956. They then moved to West Richland, WA. Where they raised three children Cindy Travis, Patty Miland Travis and Dennis Travis Sr. Pat's children blessed him with 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Pat was a member of the West Richland Volunteer Fire Dept. #4 for 24 years where he worked his way up to Asst. Chief. He always said, "He was on call 48 hours a day 9 days a week and loved every minute of it". He worked many different jobs but enjoyed his 23 years with the city of West Richland most of all.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and Texas Hold'em he was a member of the Moose Lodge for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Anita, granddaughter Jenna Rae Ann Hughes, Father and mother Cecil and Clara Travis, brothers, Richard and tom Travis and sister and borther-i9n-law Susan and Wayne Hoppas.
He left behind his daughter Cindy Travis, daughter and son in law patty and Keith Miland and son and daughter in law Dennis and Denise Travis Sr.
7 grandchildren, Steven "Mike" Woehle, Randy Hughes, Martin, Joshua and "Da"Neasha Schneider, Natlie and Dennis Jr. Travis, 11 great grandchildren, Samantha, Taylor, Gracie, Dallas, Hannah, Kayla, Paige, Trenton, Shylynn, Jerzey & Ethan. Longtime companion Rose Watson & a very close friend, Shirley Collins.
A special thank you to Melissa Watson for all your hard work and being with him till the end, you're a special person. And to hospice at the Chaplaincy Staff for taking such good care of him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to memory of Pat to Hospice at the Chaplaincy.' 1480 Fowler St. Richland, WA 99352.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at the West Richland Moose Lodge, 5828 W. Van Giesen, West Richland, WA.
