Eileen Callies 8/21/24 – 9/7/13

Eileen Eleanor Callies passed away at home on September 7, 2013. She was born on July 21, 1924 to Hans and Ellen Beggerow in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

She moved to Hanford, WA in 1944, at the age of 19, to work in accountability for DuPont. She was active in basketball and bowling and it was at the bowling alley where she met Wayne Callies. They were married on October 26, 1948 at Richland Lutheran Church.

Eileen worked in accounting until she retired in 1991. She had a daughter, Karen and a son, Rick.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl, sister Charlotte, husband Wayne, and grandson Philip.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Karen Rob Rheinschmidt, son Richard Tonya Callies, six grandchildren, Matthew, Joanna Worley, Daniel, and Jared Rheinschmidt, Kyle and Kenny Callies and 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.
