  • Louise, Tanya, and Family,

Jim and I want to offer our condolences. I’m so sorry I was out of town and unable to attend the memorial mass to offer them in person. He will be missed! I’m glad I got a chance to say hello recently!

  • Louise,

Reflecting on the loss of your husband and our good friend, Leo, my thoughts return to when he and I were Loggers in spirit as Humboldt State College “Lumberjacks” and in fact as young men actually logging the forests of Humboldt County trying to earn enough money to continue our educations. Even though we kind of lost touch when he continued at Humboldt, while I transferred to Cal in 1956, I still felt comfortable in asking and proud that he agreed to serve as a groomsman in Dee’s and my wedding in 1958. Our paths continued to cross as he worked that summer or maybe the next at Aerojet General where I worked as a Turbopump design and development engineer. Then again in 1972 when I left Aerojet and came to Richland to work for Westinghouse, you and Leo helped Dee and I and our boys make the transition to life in the Tri Cities.

Please know we are proud to have been his friend and he will be missed.

    With sympathy,

    Mart and Dee Young

  • Leo and I were fellow veterans and classmates at Humboldt State in the 1950’s. I remember his great sense of humor and his devotion to his studies.

My sympathies to Louise and to Leo’s family.
