Barbara Lynne Welch
Barbara Lynne Welch of Kennewick WA, passed away June 28, 2014 in Richland WA, at the age of 55 years. She was born in Anaconda, Montana and moved to the Tri-Cities when she was six years old. Barbara worked as a waitress and spent 21 years at the Spudnut Shop, making many friends along the way.
Among her many joys, Barbara loved the outdoors and being with her grandkids, as well as reading and spending time with her husband, Gary.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Gary Welch, her brothers Bob and Rick Voorhies, and her mother Carolyn Voorhies. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Voorhies Sr, and her brother, Sam Voorhies Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 10:30 AM.

I knew Barb from Spudnut….She was so very nice and sweet. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. miss her

My Hart goes out to Gary and Barbs Family. I have a lot of memories of the old days and had not seen Barb for a long time until I bumped in to her at the Cancer Center, we were having Chemo the same day and I had not seen her sense. I just heard about her passing from Jerry Hexum. I am very sad to here this God bless to all.

From one cancer patient to another: Barb was such a sweet person. She always knew my order at Spudnut. She was always busy and gave her all to Spudnut. Barb brightened my day whenever I stopped by for a bite to eat. I will greatly miss her. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.
I’m one of Barbara’s fans from the Spudnut shop. Her attention to her customers, her smile and happy disposition were so much appreciated by all of us. She will be missed and passed way too soon.

I got to know Barb when I worked as a checker at Albertsons and then I started working at Spudnut Shop after my retirement. She was a wonderful person and loved being around people.I will always remember her.

As a customer of the spudnut shop Barbara was such a nice person she was always smilying when she waited on you she will be missed our prayers with the family
