Clyde Henry Morris

Rev. Clyde Henry Morris died Thursday Aug. 21, 2014 at Kadlec Hospital after a brief illness. He was 89. He was born Sept. 23, 1924 near Charleston, WV.

Clyde served 2 ½ years at sea on the USS Boise during WWII and was involved in the Invasion of Sicily and in the Pacific including the Battle of Salerno Straits. The Boise was General MacArthur's Flagship.

Rev. Morris was an Evangelist for over 62 years. Besides holding revivals in West Virginia, he preached in many of the Eastern half of the United States. He specialized in end of time prophesies. Many of his revivals were 2-4 weeks long.

Clyde taught his grandsons to fish and hunt.

Clyde is survived by his daughter Terry Lynn husband Fredrick of Richland, WA; grandsons, Mark Vucelick, Matthew wife Piper Vucelick of Richland, WA and David Andrew of Wheeling, WV. He is also survived by his great-grandsons, Adam Ellingson and Archer Vucelick.

Clyde shared his Sept. 23 birthday with his daughter and grandson Archer who was to celebrate his 1st birthday on Clyde's 90th.

Clyde is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy of 44 years, his wife Marie of 23 years and his son Daniel.

Clyde will have a graveside service at Sunset Gardens Veterans Section, Tuesday August 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
