Shirley Peterson

The family of Shirley Margaret Peterson grieves the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by a large extended circle of family and friends.  Shirley, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2015 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle WA.

Shirley was born in Vancouver Washington.  She married the love of her life, John Peterson and raised seven children on a farm in Pasco and Basin City Washington.  Her family was always her main focus, pride and joy.  For 52 years Shirley and John were joined at the hip during their farming and racing years.  They loved to fly to places in their airplane as Shirley was John’s co-pilot.  She loved looking through magazines to buy special little gifts for everyone.  You never knew when she would surprise you with a special gift.  Her family loved to play Yahtzee with her as she loved to WIN.  Her favorite show to watch was Wheel of Fortune.  Her generous spirit and sense of humor will be missed by those who knew her.

She will always be remembered with love by those left behind:  Loving husband, John Peterson.

Children: Steve (Susie) Peterson, Mike (Debi) Peterson, Roberta Kenyon (Scott), Robert Peterson, Debbie Kinler (Jim) and Johnny (Beverly) Peterson.

Shirley cherished her twenty grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was known to all as Grandma Shirley.

She was preceded in death by her son David and granddaughter Tiffany.

A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at Events at Sunset starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2015.  The address is 915 ByPass Highway Richland, WA  99352.  Flowers may be sent to Events at Sunset and more information can be viewed on the Einan’s website, sunsetgardenstricities.com
