Fred I. Jimenez passed away September 17, 2015 in Richland, Washington at the age of 89. He was born on July 4, 1926 in Seattle, Washington to Fred and Nellie Jimenez. He lived out his adolescent and young adult years in Seattle and moved to the Tri-Cities in 2003.

                As a young adult, Fred served in World War ll for the United States Navy from 1944-1946. Later on he became a member of the King County Police Department, where he retired after 20 years. He loved spending time with his kids and his grandchildren at every possible moment. Fred was also an avid golfer and loyal sports fan who has been a Seahawks season ticket holder since 1975. He followed the U.W. Huskies and Seattle Mariners closely as well.

                Fred is survived by his children, Fred Jimenez (Noelle), and Ella Fly (Jim), grandchildren: Nicholas and Noah Jimenez; Colin and Jason Fly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

                Fred was preceded in death by his father, Fred Jimenez; mother, Nellie Jimenez; brother, Sonny Jimenez; sister, Nancy Stevens; nephew, John Jimenez; and his life partner Pearl Ford.
