Arden Booth Ibatuan
Arden Booth Ibatuan, 83, passed away November 2, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 10, 1932 in Kirkland, Washington to Clarence and Carmen (Aschenfelder) Booth.
The Booths moved to Wapato, Washington in 1949 where Arden met her husband to be, Robert (Bob) Ibatuan. They were married on December 28, 1950. Together Arden and Bob had three children and subsequently moved to the Tri-city area in 1955, settling in Richland. To her delight, her mother and father soon followed to live in the area. Arden (known as Ardie) became involved with anything associated with family and friends.
Some of her greatest achievements included traveling all over the world with her husband, Bob, and hosting the continuous string of family gatherings (especially when her brothers, Bill and Patrick, came to town). For the past 20 years she enjoyed her Friday night outings with her girlfriends (aka, “The Legends”).
She is survived by her daughter Michael Carroll, son Mark Ibatuan (Lynn) all of Richland; brothers William and Patrick Booth of Bangkok,Thailand, sister Christine Grantham (Richard) of Richland; grandchildren Jennifer Lopez (Jorge) of Nevada, Wendy Dammarell (Ryan), Aariann Ibatuan, Blair Hanson (Eric), Daniel Rogers, Karis Rogers all of Tri-Cities; great-grandchildren Oliver, Ava Liz and Everli Hanson and Jamison Barrera; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Ardie was proceeded in death by her mother, father, husband, daughter (Shannon), grandson (Benjamin Carroll) and son-in-law (Dr. David Carroll).
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living, Richland, Dr. Salinas, Kennewick, Hospice at the Chaplaincy of Tri-Cities and Richland Baptist Church. The support Ardie and her family received during this most difficult time was Godsend. We are truly grateful.

Our deepest sympathy to the family on the passing of your dear Mother. She’s now safely home in heaven enjoying eternal life with your Father and loved ones. She will be greatly missed, but her loving friendships, happy memories, and joyful spirit will always be with those who loved her.
May your deep faith and trust in God give you all the strength to cope in your sorrow. Our thoughts, prayers, and God’s blessing be with you all.
Love,
Bel & Tom Bander
I worked with Ardie at The Hanford House Red Lion. She was so much fun and a joy to work with. I loved hearing stories about her family. I know she has endured great loss in her life and she is now at peace with her loved ones in heaven. She will always be one of my favorite people! My condolences to her loved ones.
Sincerely
Sherrie Kelley
I first met Ardie years ago, when I was young. I would tag along with the Hankins family for a visit with the Ibatuans. They all seem like a fun close knit family and you could tell Ardie ran the household with her charm and her wit, along with her mother, Carmine. They, together, were both so unique and quite the characters.
Every time I would run into Ardie, she always had a smile on her face. And it seems, in the early days, every wedding I would attend or function, she was there with the catering crew smiling and serving. My sister, Linda, worked with her in catering at the Hanford House. She always seemed like a joy to be around. I loved her personality, one that reflects in her children and one that will be greatly missed.
Thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family. I know words at this time are meaningless but please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and the memory of her will go on and on through generations. God Bless.
My sincere condolences to Ardie’s family. I hope you can be comforted by the fullness of the life Ardie led as a member of a family for whom I hold so much respect, admiration and love.
Our hearts go out to all of Ardie’s family. Our friendship with her began in the early 60’s when Carolyn was in Junior Women’s Club. Ardie was one of the “older” women who really kept that organization going. There were many opportunities for work project, social functions, and just general all-around good times with that group. When we left the group in our mid-thirties, the contact with her was more just the sort of “running into her” thing. She was really a fun person to be around and I know you will miss her greatly. Our deepest sympathy to you all.
Our heartfelt condolences to all the Ibatuan family. Praying that your loving memories will bring you comfort, peace and strength during this difficult time. With our sincere sympathy
My condolences to Ardie’s children and families….My heart will miss my dear friend but the memories will keep a smile on my face forever. Rest in peace..
