DIANE DEE KNIGHT passed away at the age of 56 on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.  Diane was born May 2, 1959 in Richland to Marian and Gerald Jordan and lived during her early years in Kennewick where she graduated from Kamiakin High School.  Diane was a lifelong Tri-City resident.  Diane was a Mechanical Designer for most of her working life, working for a variety of Hanford contractors including Kaiser Engineers, Westinghouse Hanford, BNFL Inc., and Bechtel National Inc. Her proudest moment was the birth of her daughter Amanda in 1985.  In 1993, Diane met the love of her life, Mark Knight.  They were married in 1994 in Maui, Hawaii.  Diane and Mark lived in West Richland and have been together for the past 21 years.   During her childhood, Diane loved to dance ballet, jazz, and tap and during her adult life taught dance for a short time.  In recent years, Diane was happiest spending time with her horses, something that she had wanted to do since she was a child.  She loved to ride her “best friend” Target and spent many hours out in the barn petting, grooming, and feeding way too many carrots to her horses.  In 2012, Diane became a proud grandmother to her first grandchild, Connor, whom she loved very much.  In 2013, Diane and Mark were able to take a wonderful Caribbean cruise, something that gave Diane great pleasure, and was a great accomplishment in spite of Diane’s recent battle with disability and illness.  Diane was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Jordan.  Diane is survived by her husband, Mark Knight; her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Nate Koppelman; grandson, Connor Koppelman; mother, Marian Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Mary Jordan; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Kathy Jordan; and other extended family members and friends.  A private family viewing will be held at Einan’s Funeral Home, Richland, on Wednesday December 2, 2015, followed by a private service for family and close friends at a later date.
