Ronald William Sanders

Ronald William Sanders, 76, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, February 28, with his lovely wife, Barbara, holding his hand until the end.

Ronald was born on May 15, 1939, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was a Richland resident for over 50 years, working for Battelle PNL as an x-ray analysis specialist then started KLM Analytical continuing his work in x-ray analysis.  He loved his work.

He enjoyed many passions; fishing, bowling, growing roses and spending time with his family.  Ron was a great little league coach; many still called him coach when they ran into him.  He created great memories with his grandchildren of fishing, making ice cream, playing cribbage, archery, fireworks, and cooking his wonderful breakfasts. Ronald was also an extremely generous man.  He spent much of his last few years caring for his wife.  There are many good memories of Ronald Sanders, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Earl, his mother, Ida, sister, Peggy, son, Steven, and friends, Monte Smith, Chuck Veverka, and Don Edwards.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons, Daniel and Terrance, daughter, Wendy and husband, John. Grandchildren, Jessica, Angel and Tyler Sanders, William and Samantha Sanders, Jennifer, Michelle and Alyssa Cavalieri, great-grandchildren, Aiden and Sophia, his brother, Bud Sanders and wife, Kay, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Visiting Angels, CNS nurses and Hospice at the Chaplaincy who helped care for Ronald during his final months, and also to his niece, Karen Wood and great-niece, Amber Newton, who helped us greatly in our time of need.

Viewing will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Events at Sunset in Richland. Services will be Sunday, March 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Events at Sunset.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 7, 1:00 p.m.  in Post Falls, Idaho, where Ronald will be laid to rest near his parents and other family members at Evergreen Cemetery.
