Joe Lozano

Joe Lozano, born June 26, 1953 in Scottsbluff, NE passed away peacefully on June 4, 2016 surrounded by family.

Raised in Toppenish, WA, Joe enlisted in the Army at the age of 19, and when stationed in Germany he developed a love of the country, which he shared through memorable stories.

He lived in Seattle for many years and he was an avid reader who frequented Seattle Public Library. He particularly enjoyed works of the military history. In 2006, he returned to Toppenish, where he was known to attend to stray cats. He recently learned how to play Texas Hold’em, but he was still working on his bluffing skills.

Joe’s unique sense of humor and nonconformist beliefs will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen; his siblings: Juan, Mary, Graciela; nine nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews; and his two year old grandson Pierce.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00am at the Veteran’s Memorial Section at Columbia Park, Kennewick, WA.
