Elinda Faye (Linda) Griffin, 60, of Pasco, WA, passed away on August 31, 2016.

Linda was born in Pasco, WA to the late Willie Sims Sr. and Mattie Sims on April 30, 1956.  She was the oldest of six children and a lifelong resident of Pasco.  Linda graduated from Pasco High School with the class of 1975.  She was a Hanford employee for 25 years and recently retired as of May 2016.  Linda was very excited about retirement.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Richland, WA.  Linda enjoyed interior design, frequently decorating her home, cooking, collecting African art and figurines.  She was also an avid gardener and landscaper.

Linda is remembered with love by her two children, Nuriece Love Griffin (Adebusayo) George of Denver, CO and Darris Demetrick (Julia) Griffin, Jr. of Denver, CO; her mother Mattie Sims of Pasco, WA; her brothers and sister, Linton Raye (Shawn Ozaki) Sims of Pasco, WA, Daniel (Danny) Earl Sims of Pasco, WA,  Gertha Mae (Steve Lassiter) Sims of Renton, WA, Willie James Sims, Jr. of Pasco, WA, Victor Sims of West Richland, WA; and her numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She is preceded in death by her father Willie Sims, Sr. and her grandmother Essie Mae Osborn.

Linda’s family and friends will always remember her as a creative, artistic, God loving Christian.

A Memorial Service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at the Richland Church of Christ, 933 Thayer Dr. Richland, WA 99352, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00 am.
