Virginia Anne Gerth, 78, of Pasco, WA passed away on November 13, 2016 at the Chaplaincy Hospice Care’s Hospice House in Kennewick, WA. She was born in El Paso, TX on May 30, 1938 to Paul and Virginia Kincheloe.
In her early years, Virginia’s family moved to San Diego, CA to help with the WWII efforts. She attended and graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego. Shortly after high school, Virginia met and fell in love with Richmond Gerth. They were married on April 19, 1958. Richmond and Virginia lived in the San Diego area until 1976 when they moved to Florida with their three small children. In 1977 they relocated to Pasco, WA where she resided until her passing.
Virginia was thrilled to be able to move into her dream home
in 1983. She enjoyed sewing and
gardening. She loved animals of all
kinds and always had pets. Virginia also
loved traveling and was able to go on several mission’s trips. One of
Virginia’s greatest blessings was becoming a grandmother on August 21, 2002.
Virginia was a loving wife and the devoted mother of three children. Throughout her lifetime she was involved in the PTA, YMCA programs, the Brownies, and church youth groups. She also started and led a Christian based diet group for ladies that led to an interview in the Tri-City Herald. She was a long time member of Riverview Baptist Church in Pasco, WA.
Virginia is survived by her son, David Gerth; daughter, Ginny Gerth; daughter and son-in-law Cathe and Donnie Cline; grandson, DC Cline; and close family friend Devon Ehlert.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richmond B. Gerth;
her brother, John Kincheloe; and her parents Paul and Virginia Kincheloe.
