MICHAEL BRIDGES, 68

Michael (Mike) Lee Bridges, 68, passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, 2018 at his home in Kennewick, WA. He was born on June 16, 1948 in Princeton, IN to Judith (Higginson) and Nathan Bridges.

Mike grew up in Abilene, TX then moved to Columbus, MS in 1961. He attended SD Lee High School in Columbus, with the class of 1966. He served the U.S. Navy on the USS Meredith Dec. 1967 to Nov. 1971 as a BM3.

He enjoyed reading, NASCAR (especially Tony Stewart) and was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He had a stubborn side with a soft heart for his family and animals.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Nathan Bridges and Judy Higginson.

Mike is survived by his sister Deborah Bunton of Kennewick, WA and her husband Roger; nieces Michelle (Sohn) Kartes, Tammy (Rob) Ritchie, and Dee Millikin; along with great nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at the home of Roger and Debbie Bunton on Mar. 18, 2017.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to your local men's shelter or Salvation Army.
