Zoe LaVerne Larson passed away peacefully on 3/14/2017. Born on 12/5/1925 in Bellingham, WA, she grew up in Portland, OR the only daughter of Austin and Gladys Thompson.

She met Harold Larson at OSC and they wed on 8/29/1948. In 1952 Harold was hired at Hanford and they moved to Richland, WA. They raised their 5 children in their house on Cottonwood and became active members of West Side Church. Zoe was a teacher for RSD in the 1960s. She loved to sew, knit, cook, bake and always treated others the way she wanted to be treated.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Wildan, Jim, Dan Thompson; her husband; her son Greg Larson. She is survived by her brother George Thompson; her children Peg (Jerry) Jones, Jeff Larson, David Larson, Kathy (Dan) Meade; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Christine Larson (Greg’s wife).

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens on April 1 at 1pm, with a memorial and reception to follow at West Side Church.
