Harold J. Kupfer, 86, of Richland, WA, went to be with Jesus on June 9, 2017. He was born to Henry and Eva Kupfer on February 13, 1931, in Tremonton, UT. His parents and siblings moved to Sunnyside, outside of Portland, OR in 1942, where he graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1949. He was drafted into the Marines and served for two years. He married Ruth Feldman on September 1, 1951, in Akron, OH. The new couple moved to Portland, OR, where they had their only son, Tim. In 1956, Harold and Ruth moved back to Akron, OH, where they lived for 12 years. In 1968, they decided to return to Portland where they stayed for two years before coming to Richland, WA, to help build the Apostolic Christian Church. They came to love Richland, eventually making it their permanent home. Ruth died in 1987. Harold married Dorothy Prieger in Portland, OR, in June of 1988, and she passed away in 1995. Harold Later married his current wife Martha Hohulin in Tremont, IL, on September 27, 1997. Harold was a carpenter and remodeling contractor from 1974 until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Apostolic Church in Richland.

Harold is preceded in death by his brothers Alfred and Walter, and his sisters Louise Wilson and Dorothy Gasser.

Harold is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Timothy Kupfer; granddaughter, Jonelle Pavkov (Mark), of Erie, PA and four great grandchildren; his brother, Howard Kupfer of San Jose, CA and many step - children and step – grandchildren.

Harold was a remarkable man, who was known for his smile, his gentleness and his generosity. He was a man of prayer, who lived to serve the Lord, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who asked him. He was the definition of a good man. He is irreplaceable in our lives, and we will miss him deeply.

A Public Viewing will be held on June 23, 2017 at Einan’s at Sunset from 5 – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Richland, WA at 11:00 a.m. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made in Harold’s name to the Richland Apostolic Christian Church or to the Gideons Foundation.
