Ryan Tyler Vargas
Ryan Tyler Vargas was born on March 28th, 1999 and went home to be with the Lord on August 14th, 2017. Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he was the second of four brothers and is survived by his parents, Joe and Liana Vargas, his older brother Tony, and younger brothers Joshua and Isaiah. He is also survived by Grandparents Joanne (Tom) Lueck, Grandparents Bob (Tami) Kuginskie, Grandparents Myriam (Rafael Amaya) Vargas, Uncle Kevin (Carol) Kuginskie, and Uncle Jeremy Lueck.
Ryan’s life was a short one, but he found so many passions and demonstrated so many abilities. He brought great joy to so many around him. Ryan had gorgeous auburn hair and was well known for his charismatic personality, infectious smile, and his zest for life. Ryan enjoyed the arts, his favorite being Les Miserable. He started with Echo Drama and went on to perform with the Academy Children’s Theatre and Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre. Perhaps the one story that defines Ryan best was the definition he gave himself to his parents. Ryan referred to himself as your “favorite white son” (Tony is Hispanic, Joshua is Japanese, and Isaiah is Ethiopian). That way they all got to be favorites.
In his early teen years, he loved volunteering regularly in Bethel’s children’s department. The young children adored Ryan. He loved being a big brother, in part, because he knew that his own big brother Tony loved him so much.
Ryan was loved deeply and will be missed dearly by his family and many friends. Death was arrested and now your new life begins. Dance with Jesus! Private ceremony will be held.
I never knew Ryan very well, but we floated in adjacent circles at CBC. I think of him occasionally. Mostly I remember that he was funny. We only spoke a handful of times, but it was enough to make an impression. I hope he smiles just as much now as he did then.
I miss you bro so fucking much
There are no words that can express the loss a beautiful young man. My thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family 🙏🙏🙏
