If there was one word to describe Erik, I'm sure everyone would agree that it would be "kind".  Erik loved to spend time with friends and helped everyone.  His friends and family knew they could count on him to be there at a moment’s notice when needed.  He also enjoyed spending time with his mother.  He would often stop everything to give her a hug while telling her “just because I can”.

Erik was known to start his day with a Dutch Brothers.  He loved to ride motorcycles and owned a black R1 which he kept in pristine appearance. Erik spent his free time with friends, going to concerts and passing time by cracking jokes and performing stunts that maybe not everyone found amusing such as jumping into the mall water fountain in the middle of the day. Yes, that was Erik.

When he was younger, he was an avid skateboarder (which eventually turned into long boarding). You could find him most afternoons and weekends riding his skateboard with friends where they would push each other to be better.  Most recently one friend wrote on his Facebook page that they were pushing each other to accomplish their then childhood dream of becoming Pro Skaters. Erik also loved animals and talked his mom, Melissa, into purchasing a min-pin when he was 11 years old. They named her Koko and she was his beloved pet and now with his mom.

Erik enjoyed snowboarding which he picked up years ago during his first attempt with virtually no effort. Erik also dabbled in wresting and baseball and belonged to the chess club at a young age.

Friends and relatives are invited to say their goodbyes from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th at Einan’s Funeral Home chapel, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland, WA 99352.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Benton Franklin Humane Society, 1736 E 7th Ave., Kennewick, WA 99337.
