Haydn Andrie
Haydn J. Andrie
Age 22, passed away on October 10th, 2017 in Richland, Washington.
Haydn was born in Richland, WA on August 8th, 1995 to Jeff Andrie and Sami Bigham. He worked as a Withdrawal Management Aid for Lourdes Health Network.
Born and raised in the Tri-cities, Haydn’s early years were spent outside on Grandma and Grandpa Cossman’s farm riding horses, having special days out with Grandma Andrie, or at his home in West Richland listening to music, drawing, making up stories, spending time with his younger brother Tate, and swinging on the swing every night. He also found his love for snowboarding and playing the guitar at 8 years old.
His early hobbies carried into his adolescent years, continuing to snowboard and play guitar, but replaced his every-night trips on the swing with running. There was never a night he didn’t go for a jog. His horse-riding ability only continued to get better as well, and made his Grandpa and Grandma Cossman very proud. He loved to get into trouble with his best friend Seth Hansen, whose friendship never drifted. During his junior and senior year of high school, Haydn did the running start program at CBC. He graduated from Hanford High School in 2014 and was only a few math classes away from achieving his AA.
Entering adulthood, Haydn bought his first street-legal motorcycle and never looked back. Even after laying his bike down 3 times he never failed to hop back on, even in the most frustrating of times. He loved going on walks every night, going to hockey games, watching Netflix and documentaries, playing dungeons and dragons, and going out to eat. But more than anything, Haydn enjoyed hanging out with friends and family to conversate and share stories.
At all his jobs he was known to be extremely dependable and would go above and beyond for his co-workers. He was an Agency Affiliated Counselor with the State of Washington, in which he used his knowledge at Lourdes. One of Haydn’s proudest work achievements was during his time at Meadow Hills Animal Hospital, where he successfully force-pilled Muffin the massive mastiff on his own (known to be one of the most difficult and largest animals at the hospital). In Haydn’s words: “Let it be known that on this day, I Haydn Andrie, successfully force-pilled Muffin the mastiff all by myself. Hail to the breaker of beasts. Hail to your king.” He was then known as the Breaker of Beasts. While working at the hospital he was promoted from boarding to hospital and surgery assistant.
Haydn was known for his amazing sense of humor, his storytelling ability, and his contagious laughter. He put his friends and family before himself and was the most loyal and down-to-earth person there was. He could not only tell a great story, but was the best listener during the hardest of times and the funniest of times. He loved his family, friends, and his stinky dog Bandit whom he rescued from the Pasco animal shelter. He was also the meme king.
Haydn is survived by his mother, Sami Bigham and husband Shane. His father, Jeff Andrie and wife Misty. His Brother, Tate Andrie. Step siblings, Brie DiFelici, Zach Bigham and Makenzie Bigham. His maternal grandparents, Dale and Suzy Cossman. Maternal great grandmother, Madonna Cossman. His paternal grandmother Dorie Andrie. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. And finally, many, many loving friends.
The Celebration of Haydn is on Sunday, October 22nd from 1pm to 5pm at Blankspace in Kennewick, WA. 5453 Ridgeline Dr.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Tri-City animal shelter and/or SARC (Support Advocacy and Resource Center).
