Tommy Gladden
Tommy Gerald Gladden, age 48 of Benton City, passed away Friday September 29, 2017 at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. He was born on November 18, 1968 to Kaye and Jack Gladden in Huntington Park, CA. Tom moved to the Okanogan Valley in 1971 where he attended school in Omak and then Tonasket. After school, he lived in Wenatchee and Goldendale, eventually residing in Tri-Cities, WA. He married Kristi Beeks in 1999 and fathered 4 children, Tyler, Taya, Christa and Cheyanne. Kristi and Tom later divorced and he met and married Lisa Gabel in 2007.
Tom had a strong love of everything outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He worked in Alaska for a short time falling trees for a logging company. Most recently he worked in the hay industries. Tom was a hard worker who was always willing to help others. He had a contagious personality and a wonderful sense of humor. His first priority was always his family.
Tom is survived by his wife Lisa Gladden, children Tyler Gladden of Moses Lake, Taya Gladden of Goldendale, Christa and Cheyanne Gladden of Benton City as well as his step children Emily and Savanah Gabel of Benton City. He is also survived by his parents Jack Gladden and Judy Gladden of Tonasket, his siblings, Bret McKibben of New Haven, NH, Tim Gladden of Goldendale, Amanda Wilson of Spokane, Jack Gladden of Waterville and John Gladden of Yakima. Tom has a very large extended family and many friends who also considered him part of their own family. Tom is preceded in death by his sister Tina Carpenter.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.
