Kent B. Arnold, an Army Veteran passed away on December 12, 2017 at his home in Richland, WA at the age 96.

Kent grew up in the Flint, Michigan area and graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1939.  After high school he attended the University of Michigan and graduated in 1943 with two B.S. degrees in Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering.  Phillip Arnold started the Arnold Gage Co. and Kent worked alongside his dad until his dad retired and Kent took over running the business.  Kent sold the Arnold Gage Co. in 1973 and went back to school at Grand Valley State College in Allendale, MI where he earned an MBA in 1975.  In 1975 Kent and Ellen moved the family to Moscow, Idaho, where Kent continued his education as a hobby taking a variety of classes at the University of Idaho.  In 2009 Kent and Ellen moved to Richland, WA.

While living in Moscow he had attended United Methodist Church, Moscow, ID; Central Lions Club, Moscow, ID; Moscow Mosonic Lodge #504

Kent is survived by Ellen his wife of 42 years, of Richland, WA; his children:  Cindy (Reid) Pike; Barbara (Garth) Maxam; Tom (Jeanne) Arnold all of the Albuquerque, NM area; Brad (Ikuko) Arnold of Southbury, CT; Jonell (Brian) Peterson of Moscow, ID and Michelle (John) MacArthur of Richland, WA. Kent is also survived his grandchildren:  Ry Pike; Clara Jean and Jesse Maxam; Serena Arnold; Justin and Kevin Peterson and Ashley and Brooke MacArthur and his great-grandchildren:  Sophia Kelly and Ryder Peterson (Justin’s)

He was preceded in death by:  Parents Phillip and Iva (Huntley) Arnold and brother, Gordon Arnold.

A Celebration of life will be held for family at a later date.
