William Truman Tyler

William (Bill) Truman Tyler left this life on December 3, 2017, aged 86.  His family left Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1947 to reside in Richland, Washington where Bill lived with his wife Nancy and daughter Lori until his passing.  

Bill Tyler graduated from Kennewick High School in 1950. He was a Korean War Veteran – US Navy and was stationed on the USS Valley Forge. Bill Tyler married his wife Nancy on March 29, 1951. He worked at the Hanford Site from 1955-2017 in Health Physics and retired as a Radiation Worker Instructor at Hammer Federal Training Center. 

Bill Tyler was also a Board Member for Hapo Community Credit Union and had memberships with the Tri-City Classic Chevy Club and Twin City Metals Friday Morning Gang.

Bill Tyler is survived by his daughter Lori Tyler-Huntley, his nieces Cheri (Tyler) Derryberry and Merri (Tyler) Svenson, his sister-in-law Kathy (Miller) Kogan, and sister-in-law Jo Miller.  He is survived also by many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Tyler; father and mother, Vole Andrew and Lela Tyler; and his brother, Val Dalton Tyler.

A Navy Military Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1:00pm at Sunset Gardens in Richland, following with a reception at Richland Baptist Church at 2:00pm, 1632 George Washington Way in Richland.
