James Younkin

James “Albert” Jim” Younkin died Thursday, January 11th, 2018 after a long battle with lymphoma.  He was 75 years old.  He was born on July 9th, 1942 to the parents of Carl Reed and Mary Younkin in Dunkirk, Indiana.   He obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana.  Jim was a beloved father, grandfather, friend, teacher, coach, referee, and umpire to many people throughout the country.   He lived and taught school for more than 30 years in Butte, Montana.  He was an avid outdoorsman, a practical joker, and he adored his two grandchildren.    He was preceded in death by both parents, and his brother Paul and sister Shirley.   He is survived by his two sons, Chance and Chrade, and his grandchildren Skyler and Kodi.    A Celebration of Life Service in Butte, Montana is pending.   A Memorial Service in Seattle, Washington is pending.   A service is planned in Richland, Washington at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, January 19th, at 3pm.   Donations and acts of kindness can be sent in Jim’s name, care of Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland, Washington
