  • We met Bob and Polly in 2005. We had just secured a lot in the Horn Rapids Development and Bob came over to greet us. He teased me at my mention of all the Tri City dust and told me that I would need to get used to it. We became good friends over the years. Bob was quite the guy! He loved to talk politics with my husband and was always upbeat. He was a kind, considerate, stand up kind of guy. He loved a good joke and had a wonderful sense of humor. He would come over and go to our bookcase to see if we had any new books he had not read. My husband once told him he was going to get him a library card for all the books he checked out. We will miss the times he would come up on our patio and we would sit there sometimes for hours. His friendship will always be treassured and remembered with love.

  • We were dating and remember playing bridge with Bob & Pauli back in 1968. Pauli was Bev’s best girlfriend and served as one of her bridesmaids in our wedding in 1969. Lots of good times thru the years. We are sorry to say farewell to Bob but will certainly maintain our close relationship with Pauli. Rest well, our friend; we shall meet again at Heaven’s gate.

  • I retired from U.S. Bank in March of last year. Mr. Broady was one of my regular customers. He was always cordial and I enjoyed seeing him and conversing with him from time to time. One day he came in for some help with a debit card and the card somehow slipped under my desk calendar. He came back in looking for it and I told him I hadn’t seen it. He told me his wife was upset he had lost the card. We closed it and opened a new one. We joked about it and he went on his way. Some time later that week I found the card sticking out from under my calendar. I was horrified and immediately told my manager. He told me that because we had already ordered a new card not to worry about it. Well it really bothered me. The next time Bob came in I told him what had happened and apologized. He thanked me for my honesty and was happy he could go home and tell his wife what had happened. The next time he came in he asked me if I had stolen any cards lately. He was family!
