William A. (Bill) Lucke, 73 of Pasco Wa., passed away January 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. 

Bill was born October 26, 1944 in Walla Walla, Wa to Herm and Ruth Lucke. The family resided in many places in Eastern Washington during his childhood years, finally landing in Pasco where he met and married his lifelong love of 51 years, Nancy Beardsley. They were blessed to raise two daughters, Michelle and Robin. 

He worked at Boise Cascade during their marriage and eventually retired after 42 years as an electrician/safety coordinator. They were lifelong members of the Richland Church of the Nazerene where he served in many capacities. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and RVing. He also had a deep love for fast cars and 4 wheel drives, having the title “the Legend” by guys he whooped drag racing the roads of Tri-Cities.

Bill was an inventor, creator and fabricator of many creations. He was a teacher and mentor to many and loved to share his knowledge of the Pacific Northwest, auto mechanics and how to be a person of integrity, honor and grit.

He will be remembered as an Amazing husband, Dad, Papa and friend. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Michelle (Rod) Free, Robin (Marc) Mortimer, grandchildren, Kaylie (Justin) Smith, Shelbie Christenson, Josiah, Elizabeth, Tirzah, Samuel and Lydia Mortimer and great-grandchildren, Paisley and Kanin Smith, his sister, Sandra Lucke and step-siblings Marilyn (Jack) Sullivan and Allen (Carol) Griggs, as well as a large extended family.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018, 2:00pm at Richland Nazerene Church, 2500 Jericho Rd, Richland, WA.
