            Louise G. Anderson entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on February 18 at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick after a brief illness.

Louise was born on May 31, 1929 in Torrington, CT, daughter of Albert and Beatrice Giorcelli. 

During World War II, Louise received the War Service Award for her support of the war effort by the Office of Price Administration. Following the war, Louise moved to New York City where she studied opera with the renowned Italian opera soprano, Tina Paggi.  She sang the role of Mimi in a New York City production of Puccini’s La Boehme. 

Following her marriage to Carl August Anderson the couple moved to Kirkland, Washington in 1959 where they raised their three children.  She attended the University of Washington where she studied voice and choral conducting in the School of Music.  For many years she directed her church choir, taught music in the public schools and sang for military and charity events.

            In 2007, Louise and Carl, her husband of 61 years, moved to Richland. They were parishioners of Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her children, Carl A. Anderson of Connecticut, David E. Anderson of Virginia and Nina Louise Powers of Pasco, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 2010 in Richland.

Einan’s Funeral Home of Richland is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1320 W. Henry St., Pasco with graveside to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.
