Michael T. Rumelhart, 66, of Pasco, WA passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife of 45 years.

Michael was born in Richland, WA on May 8, 1951 to Rance and Karolee Rumelhart. 

Some of Michael’s proudest moments were the birth of his children and grandchildren. He was a US Veteran (Navy Chief Qtr Master E-7) who proudly earned 3 purple hearts and a bronze star in the Vietnam War. Michael loved hydroplane racing and was the team manager for the U-19 in the late 90’s. He was an avid collector and fan of racing since 1967 when he worked on the boats in Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Rance and Karolee Rumelhart. 

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Rumelhart; daughter, Dawn Hayes (Rumelhart); son-in-law, Aryn Hayes; son, David Rumelhart; daughter-in-law Dawn Rumelhart; grandchildren, Nala Rumelhart, Elliot Rumelhart, Michael Rumelhart, Madison Hayes, Blake Hayes, and Kaiden Hayes; and sisters Debrah Matalonis, Robin McGuire, and Lezlee Mays.

A Graveside Memorial will be held to honor Michael’s life on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11:00 A.M at Sunset Gardens in Richland, WA (915 Bypass Highway).
