Tara Lisa Hoyem, age 47, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018 at her home in Richland, Washington. 

Tara was born on March 25th, 1970 in Spokane, Washington, to parents Vicki Carlson (Kennewick, Washington) and Derril Stuhlmiller (Anchorage, Alaska).  She graduated from Okanogan High School in 1988 and continued her education at Bellevue Community College. Tara later obtained a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Washington State University. In 1991, she moved to Richland, Washington working for Silver Eagle Transportation Company and later accepted a position at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). During her 19-year tenure at PNNL, she spent nine years as a Training Specialist and later an HR Manager.

Tara was an incredible woman and a loving Mother. She enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be snow skiing, running or traveling.  Tara was an avid tennis player and had a love for horses. She will be most remembered for her selfless love, fun-loving personality, her beauty and heart of gold. 

In addition to her parents, Tara is survived by her step-father, Phillip Rowe of Spokane, Washington, her brothers Michael Rowe and Jason Sekne, the love of her life, Alex Beliaev, Richland, Washington, and her children Kasey Magan (Matt), Wiley Hoyem (Kelsey) and Wyatt Hoyem, Kennewick, Washington and her Grandchildren, Rylee Boehm and Brixton Magan.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Trios, Mayo Clinic and Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice Care. 

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tara on Thursday, March 29th, 2018 at Einan’s Event Center at Sunset Gardens in Richland, Washington at 2:00 P.M. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tara’s beautiful life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tara’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
