Victor Perez

Victor Ray Perez, age 53, passed away on March 12, 2018 after a 16 month fight with parotid gland cancer.  His final days were spent in the loving care of his wife, family and the staff at Chaplaincy Hospice.

Born on July 26, 1964 in Okarche, Oklahoma to Ancelmo (Sam) Perez and Kay Johnson, Victor was raised within a large loving family of uncles, aunts, and cousins located in the Kansas / Oklahoma region.

In 2007, he moved with his wife Angela to Oregon and developed a love for community service and fundraising.  He assisted with numerous community projects in Myrtle Point, Oregon and was an active member of the Myrtle Point Lions Club.  His most beloved service was as the founder of the local Leos Club, a youth group that prepares middle / high school students for community service within the Lions Club.

In 2011, he relocated to Richland, Washington.  His community service projects quickly multiplied as he once again founded a Leos Club as a Pasco Lion, transferred his membership to the Kennewick Lions Club, and became an active member of the Columbia Basin Friends of the NRA and Fill the Cups, a local cancer charity ride to raise funds for breast cancer testing.  His service introduced him to a large group of service-minded individuals that surrounded him with love and encouragement.

Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Angela, his son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Kyla, and his beloved grandson, Stellan.  He is also survived by his loving father-in-law, uncles, aunts, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his father, Ancelmo Perez.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Victor on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at Sunset Gardens Event Center, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland, Washington 99352.
