Jimmie (Jim) Lynn Herrmann
Jim was born in Yakima, WA on July 30, 1941 to Art and
Rosie Herrmann. He died in West Richland, WA on March 22, 2018. He graduated
from Grandview High school in 1959. Jim spent many years working on the
vineyards and as a Vineyard Manager for Ste Michelle Wine Estates eventually
retiring after 47 years. He lived in the Grandview and Sunnyside area for close
to 60 years until moving to West Richland in 2007.
On August 10, 1963 he married Delores Mosier, also of Grandview. Their son Barry was born in 1965 followed by their daughter Jennifer in 1967. Jim was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family.
Jim gained many friends over his lifetime from all parts of the world. His kind, humble nature was his strength and was appreciated by many. He enjoyed wood working as well as restoring old cars and loved to spend time working on various projects in his shop. Jim’s sense of humor was also a strength. His family and close friends will miss the many hours they spent laughing and joking about life’s funny experiences.
His priority in life was serving his God, Jehovah. His love of Jehovah moved him to dedicate his life to serving Him as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses when he was baptized on July 23, 1953 at the age of 12 in New York City at Yankee Stadium. One of his greatest joys was talking to others about God’s Kingdom up to the very end of his life. Even through life’s ups and downs, his faith never wavered.
Jim was survived by his wife of 54 years, Delores, his son, Barry and wife Jill of Woodinville, and daughter, Jennifer of West Richland. He is also survived by his brother, Terry and wife Carol of Sunnyside as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Rosie, as well as his younger brother John.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1324 Woodbury Street, Richland, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
